Networking & Nourishment for Progressives!
Communities Rising invites Seattle-area progressive groups, friends and family to gather for conversation, networking, food, and fun at Woodland Park’s Picnic Shelter #6 on Sunday, August 2nd.
With the midterms fast approaching, let’s share ideas for meeting this moment with urgency and purpose. We’ll celebrate the resistance, discuss how we can get out the vote, unite in solidarity, and honor our interdependence and strong connections. Each group will have time to introduce themselves and their projects. We’ll also have fun, with games for kids and adults alike!
This all-ages picnic starts at 4 pm, with mingling and loosely structured activities. We’ll eat at 5 pm and break into groups for discussion afterward. Please spread the word among your members and RSVP HERE.
Suggested potluck items to share (by first letter of last name)—but bring whatever you’d like to share:
A-F: non-alcoholic drinks
G-L: side dishes
M-S: main course
T-Z: dessert
Bring a lightweight chair if you have one.
